BIO

Rachel Garcia is the founder and owner of Dry Goods Refillery, New Jersey's first plastic-free grocery store, and an expert on sustainability, refill shopping, and zero waste space. Since opening her innovative storefront in early 2020, Rachel has been featured by various local and national media, including a focus episode of NowThis News, Spotify's How to Save a Planet podcast, as well as being called an "American Hero" on a nationally produced segment of NewsNation. She has hosted talks during NYC Climate Week and most recently was selected as a national Top 3 Finalist in the "Small Biz Challenge" by The UPS Store, where she presented her business to a panel of industry leaders and experts, expanding her reach and uplifting the refill movement to a broader audience.

When Rachel is not growing her business and educating her community of 250K TikTok followers on the dangers of plastic, she cares for her two incredible children alongside her husband and business partner, Daniel, and attempts to change the world for them one jar at a time.
